The Rhine Hall General Manager role is responsible for the success of Front of House Operations of the business. This includes but is not limited to: running the tasting room and events, generating sales, and some administrative-related activities for Rhine Hall.
1. TASTING ROOM MANAGEMENT: Efficiently run the tasting room, while responsible for hitting sales goals, maintaining a clean and impressionable tasting room, and giving tours. Primary point of contact for website, media, donations and general inquiries. Cocktail knowledge required.
2. EVENT SALES GENERATION: Creative and proactive approach to advocate Rhine Hall to generate sales; i.e. events, collaborations & partnerships, new menu’s, etc. Effectively schedule & run events. Work together with Rhine Hall Brand Advocate.
3. INBOUND SALES: Close incoming sales opportunities; private events, cocktail classes, and tastings.
We are a small team at Rhine Hall, so everyone is expected to help out where needed. Occasionally we may need help with general production, off-site tastings, dropping off product, etc.
Schedule will be the Manager’s discretion with an understanding that effort, outreach, and customer/prospect needs are met.
Tasting room open hours are Wednesday-Friday 5-9pm and Saturday 2-7pm.
- 3+ years experience in service industry, with bartending experience (mandatory)
- Professional references required within the last 2 years (mandatory)
- Access to a car (Bonus)
Compensation will be discussed with each candidate based on experience. Pay will start as hourly, with sales commission.

This year, we are releasing a Bourbon County Stout Bierschnaps. Meaning, we distilled Bourbon County Stout beer, creating a BCS Bierschnaps. Bottled at 40% abv and aged back in the original BCS barrels for over a year, we are thrilled to share this with you all.
Our BCS Bierschnaps is quite literally the distilled (condensed) version of the beer, representing all of the same but amplified tasting notes of the beer.
Purchase will be available at Binny's on Black Friday as well as our Tasting Room from 5-9pm.

A tradition in parts of Europe where Charlie learned to distill, the Plum Blossom Festival celebrates the return of the warmer seasons.
We'll have guest bartenders Mony Bunni from Boleo and Sarah Schmittfrom Vol. 39 serving up their own signature Plum Brandy cocktails, and light snacks will be provided by Kaiser Tiger!
This event is free and open to the public -- complimentary bites and cocktail samples will be provided with additional cocktails avaliable for purchase.

Rhine Hall Distillery (located at 2010 W. Fulton, near the West Loop) will be hosting chef Jeff Williams. Jeff is currently the executive sous chef at Sable Kitchen and Bar, Previous experiences at Faviken, The Willows Inn and Luksus under his belt.
Jeff will serve up an intricate tasting menu inspired by the changing seasons. This menu highlights season vegetables, as well as multiple preserving techniques. The highly refined, but down to earth menu will be accompanied by Rhine Hall’s classic and specialty cocktails using homemade syrups and bitters.
This intimate experience is priced at $75/person and includes 3 cocktails (tax&gratuity not included). Reservations are limited to 12 people.
Elevate your home cocktail game by learning how to make your own ingredients. With homemade syrups, bitters and shrubs you can take more control of shaping your cocktails!
The instructor will demonstrate how to make a syrup from scratch, then you will make your own shrub with the guidance of the instructor which you can take home.
You will also receive a short informational pamphlet containing methods, the recipe of the shrub and syrup we create along with helpful tips and tricks.

During our open hours we will be be offering discounted Plum Brandy aka #Slivovitz sippers/shots in the tasting room in honor of Marian Hossa's national drink from home. The game is on at 6pm, we will be open before the game for an ideal pregame in honor of #hossa500.
Plum Brandy/Slivovitz is a common drink enjoyed by many Eastern Europeans. Slivovitz is made from 100% plums. At Rhine Hall we source all of our plums/fruit from Michigan.
